Hi, This is CringeSpot

The place where we write cringey words

That’s Amore, a night where the Grade 12 students of NNCHS took a break. Took a breath from the exhausting requirements and deadlines. It was a masquerade ball that was in perfect timing for rest.
It started out with a rainy afternoon that gave a soothing ambience. All sorts of suits and ties, gowns and dresses, and masks were coming in the venue. From one look you can see that everybody has been preparing to dance the night away. Smiles and laughter
covered the whole place until the program ended.

From the dinner to the reading of the class history and prophecy, it was a joyous moment that lasted. Everyone danced like there's no one else, even our adviser showed his moves at the dancefloor.

It was a memorable night but what was it that made it unforgettable?

It was when our phone gave a facebook notif from Sir Chad. I was already expecting it at some point but still I was somehow surprised. That moment made my classmates gather pictures, it made them think on what would be their content.

Still, the ball gave complete satisfaction to everyone who attended. It gave everyone love and that's Amore.

The last day of our immersion came fast. We worked our first week and then poof, the second week was like *oh it’s done. I can say that I will miss the workplace because of the super fun coworkers plus special recognition of the ultra-fast internet connection hahahaha.

Ten days was not really enough for me maybe due to the fact that some days were wasted because of the busyness of our supervisor. I’m not stating it in a bad way because she needs to do her job as well but I think we can gain more experience if we were given tasks everyday during our 10-day immersion. Maybe 10 days was not really enough.

The sure thing is that I will miss the coworkers there (ROS squad lezgow hahaha). They were really enthusiastic and had a good sense of humor even when they were stated by their head that most of them are loners. They never let us be bored and kept the jokes running when silence came. They even made sure we had free lunch on our last two days hahaha. Also, I will miss the telephone rings. The anxiousness that you’ll feel because you can’t let it ring four times. Every time a telephone rang, it becomes an instinct to immediately find where the sound came from only to know that it is not from your department.

Although we almost did not do anything on our last week, I will still miss my immersion. If given the chance to lengthen our immersion period, I would gladly do it so I can learn more. See more on what’s really going on in the computer field. Explore more to immersion and beyond.

In my 10-day immersion period in the Information Technology and Communication Development Division of the Provincial Capitol, there was a lot of working that happened and in that working was a lot of learning. Let me share to you the 18 things I learned during my immersion in the ITCDD.
Don’t ride the elevator with an ignorant friend. This is a must and I tell you be safe hahaha. When you go with a friend like this, one moment you press to where your going then poof all floors are pressed. The worst part is when there are superiors joining you on the elevator and you can’t do anything anymore.
Don’t be ignorant or if you’re that kind of person, try your best to leave it at home. You must not be rude or discourteous to a workplace. Let them see you’re mentally matured to be in work.
Be Punctual. Never be late in work for it will show a bad image for yourself. (Hyprocritical as it sounds for I was never early during the immersion yet I was never late hahaha.)
Be courteous. Even though you must be friendly, never forget to be polite and respect your superiors.
Be friendly. You are in a workplace so being sociable is a must. Talk to coworkers, socialize with them and be acquainted.
Be active. Don’t lose energy in the workplace, it makes you sleepy especially if you’re in front of a computer screen in a whole day.
Show eagerness to learn. Simply because learning is never-ending. Do the work while learning and learn while working. It’s a great feeling learning something new every day.
Don’t slack around during work time. Do the tasks given to you by the superiors. Do work when it’s time for working.
Friday is Zumba day (hahaha). This lesson was taught by one of our superiors because he said that Friday is a day of breaks because there’s Zumba but the real reason is that he wanted to play video games with us.
Be open to superiors. Tell them if they gave you a task you don’t know how to do it. Tell them if you want to learn something or have questions for them.
B**ch, sit down, be humble. Learn to accept mistakes. Accept criticisms and make it as your own strength to make better outputs.
Stay Positive. Don’t drag yourself down. Think of happy thoughts and you’ll fly.
Be Optimistic in whatever way you can. If you’re not sure of what you are doing, always be confident. There’s always a rainbow after the rain.
It’s okay to take breaks once in a while. Don’t plunge yourself in working for so long, you might drown.
Be creative. Creativity is one key in making a great piece of work.
Think outside the box. Be unique as much as possible.
Have a good sense of humor. Laughter is the best medicine and it is never a bad thing to make people laugh.
No meat on Mondays. A great tip for a healthier lifestyle.

These are just some things I learned along the way on the 10-day trip, I might have learned a lot more if we stayed a lot longer. I hope you also learn on the things I learned in the ITCDD.

My last blog post was all about the sending off ceremony for immersion students. This time, we are immersing for real. I am now an immersion student currently assigned at the Information and Communications Technology Division of the Provincial Capitol of Compostela Valley located at Cabidianan, Nabunturan.

My first day was all about chilling. We had the orientation in the morning and then followed by the endorsement and another orientation in the afternoon to start our immersion. I felt excited going in for I want to see actual programmers, IT’s and developers. For our first day, we toured around the Capitol specifically in the Communications room, AksyonTV studio and in the PGO-ID.

I had fun seeing the Communications room because it was the CCTV room and it was really interesting to see all the CCTV’s. After that, we went to the AksyonTV studio and I was really overwhelmed to see a real studio with real equipment. Seeing how they do things in the studio made me more wanting to build my own studio. In the ITCD, we were taught how to operate the CCTV feed and how to see the DTR’s of the employees.

For day one, it was really enjoyable for it was new experience for me. It was like seeing one of our multiple futures or maybe an alternate reality. I will make sure to take advantage on the remaining days of the immersion period.

To learn, to grow, to experience, to have fun, to immersion and beyond.

My Pre-Immersion Orientation and Send Off Ceremony Experience

So, in this blog post, I will simply elaborate to you my experience during the Pre-Immersion Orientation and Send Off Ceremony for the Grade 12 students of NNCHS. We had our pre-immersion orientation program during the day and to tell you honestly, I had fun listening to the speaker. She was very entertaining while talking to us so I paid attention while multitasking in looking up to see if there are any atomic bombs dropping.
Now let me share my experiences about the main part, which was the sendoff ceremony that was conducted on the afternoon that day. The sendoff ceremony was really enjoyable because we needed to invite or parents to go to the ceremony and some of the parents where there to walk beside the student. We lighted candles and I was really lucky for my father was there.

The ceremony was very heart-warming as it marked us students who are now ready to be immersed. The program gives us strength and inspires us as we can say that we are capable students. To cut it short, it simply tells us to be immersed and beyond.

Barangayanihan, Open Christmas Carol Choral Contest, Garbo ng Nabunturan Season 8, and Iwag sa Kadalanan. This was the events that was showcased in the recent 23rd Simballay Festival of the Municipality of Nabunturan.

Simballay Festival is an annual festivity that was initiated by former mayor Joel O. Bugas on 1994. Simballay was molded from the Mansaka word that means, "Togetherness, sharing and thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest."

During the duration of Simballay, I was unfortunately sick caused by my tonslis at that time but that didn't stop me to get first-hand experience of the festival and it is especially for the blog. Yes, you read that right, I love you guys so much that I'd do anything for the blog. To tell you honestly, I just attended the last two days of Simballay festival where there was a Celebrity vs. Clergy Basketball game during the afternoon of the first day I participated, Garbo ng Nabunturan Season 8 in the night, and Iwag sa Kadalanan on the last day.

I already told you a small history and an overview of the Simballay festival so let me get straight to the point. I had fun on the basketball game, not just fun, money. I participated the game that was done for fun to kill time and I didn't expect to see celebrities for free and get free money at the same time (Gonzaga Nambawan). In the evening of that day, there was the Garbo ng Nabunturan but I did not watch the competition, I only watched Andrew E who performed later in the evening. In Iwag ng Kadalanan, I also did not witness the competition but just strolled around to get a photo, for this blog of course.

For the summary of my experience, you can say that I only went to see the celebrities but no. As I walked around, I saw the beauty of Simballay. Even if I did not look at the events I can hear the Nabunturanons scream for their chosen winner and it opened my mind and I realized that Simballay festival is not all about the lights, umbrellas, booths and the events itselves. I realized that it is all about the heart, the hearts of people who didn't even knew they participated Simballay festival. The hearts of the random screams, shouts, cheers and yells where they've unconsciously done. For me, Simballay festival is for the hearts of every Nabunturanons.

The society of our human beings is extremely a mind-boggling framework. What is the premise, or say, the littlest unit of such a clumsy framework? People will state "family" with one voice. Normally, family is thought to be the basic component of a society. The definition of “family” is basically "a group consisting of parents and their children" if we look up into a dictionary. At that point, we’ll have a conclusion that the connection between parents and children is the most essential one among all the relational connections that exist in the world. Also, there is no doubt that it plays an important role in our society. So, let me tell on how I celebrated Parents’ Day.

My school conducted Parents’ Day which is obviously for our parents; I of course celebrated it at school. The main purpose of this celebration is for the student to give thanks to their parents’ or guardian and also for the school to give appreciation on their support to the campus.

It was a day with great pomp and show. I thought about not going to school that day yet I needed to for the blog. I celebrated it like any other school events by attending and watching the program.  The difference was I need to find a picture for this post and you can see I got one. I haven’t given my parents anything on that day because we sell flowers and it’s ironic for me to give flowers to my parents.

For me, it is not about giving; it is about what’s in your heart. It’s about how you express your love in other simple things. I may have celebrated that day without greeting my parents but I celebrate Parents’ Day everyday by being grateful and appreciating them for what they have done for me through those simple things.
