My last blog post was all about the sending off ceremony for immersion students. This time, we are immersing for real. I am now an immersion student currently assigned at the Information and Communications Technology Division of the Provincial Capitol of Compostela Valley located at Cabidianan, Nabunturan.

My first day was all about chilling. We had the orientation in the morning and then followed by the endorsement and another orientation in the afternoon to start our immersion. I felt excited going in for I want to see actual programmers, IT’s and developers. For our first day, we toured around the Capitol specifically in the Communications room, AksyonTV studio and in the PGO-ID.

I had fun seeing the Communications room because it was the CCTV room and it was really interesting to see all the CCTV’s. After that, we went to the AksyonTV studio and I was really overwhelmed to see a real studio with real equipment. Seeing how they do things in the studio made me more wanting to build my own studio. In the ITCD, we were taught how to operate the CCTV feed and how to see the DTR’s of the employees.

For day one, it was really enjoyable for it was new experience for me. It was like seeing one of our multiple futures or maybe an alternate reality. I will make sure to take advantage on the remaining days of the immersion period.

To learn, to grow, to experience, to have fun, to immersion and beyond.

My Pre-Immersion Orientation and Send Off Ceremony Experience

So, in this blog post, I will simply elaborate to you my experience during the Pre-Immersion Orientation and Send Off Ceremony for the Grade 12 students of NNCHS. We had our pre-immersion orientation program during the day and to tell you honestly, I had fun listening to the speaker. She was very entertaining while talking to us so I paid attention while multitasking in looking up to see if there are any atomic bombs dropping.
Now let me share my experiences about the main part, which was the sendoff ceremony that was conducted on the afternoon that day. The sendoff ceremony was really enjoyable because we needed to invite or parents to go to the ceremony and some of the parents where there to walk beside the student. We lighted candles and I was really lucky for my father was there.

The ceremony was very heart-warming as it marked us students who are now ready to be immersed. The program gives us strength and inspires us as we can say that we are capable students. To cut it short, it simply tells us to be immersed and beyond.
