"Human trafficking was, is, and will be a problem that needs to be solved."
The Inter-Agency Commission on Anti-Trafficking (IACAT) launched a contest showcasing the talents of amateur songwriters and music video makers. They gave a theme about human trafficking that can give enlightenment to the viewers on what is human trafficking.
Our NNCHS’s own sent an entry titled INAKALA and was chosen as one of the top 5 out of 11 entries.
My job here is to give you a quick review on INAKALA but first of all, let me give you a quick fact about human trafficking.
Human Trafficking is the action or practice of illegally transporting people from one country or area to another, as according to the dictionary. It is a form of slavery that keeps people from their freedom so to their right to live.
The entry INAKALA which has shown a marvelous feat captured my attention. It tells a story about a woman who became a victim to human trafficking leading to fight for her escape and to reclaim her democracy.
I feel that the cause for human trafficking is simple. Every person in this world can do good but not all. Some says money is the root of all evil and is the cause of human trafficking but I say no. The person itself is the cause for it.
Earning and using money depends on the person, it is up to him if he uses it for bad or for good. For me, the cause is the evil inside the person itself.
INAKALA gives us a glimpse on what, when, where, why, and how human trafficking happens. We need to fight and help eradicate this doing. As a student, I can help primarily by using social media to share awareness online and also by reporting if I observe something suspicious relating towards human trafficking.
Let us keep our eyes and ears open to see the bigger picture. Let us fight and be aware to human trafficking.
