My
last blog post was all about the sending off ceremony for immersion students.
This time, we are immersing for real. I am now an immersion student currently
assigned at the Information and Communications Technology Division of the
Provincial Capitol of Compostela Valley located at Cabidianan, Nabunturan.
My first day was all about chilling. We had
the orientation in the morning and then followed by the endorsement and another
orientation in the afternoon to start our immersion. I felt excited going in
for I want to see actual programmers, IT’s and developers. For our first day,
we toured around the Capitol specifically in the Communications room, AksyonTV
studio and in the PGO-ID.
I had fun seeing the Communications room because it was the CCTV room and it was really interesting to see all the CCTV’s. After that, we went to the AksyonTV studio and I was really overwhelmed to see a real studio with real equipment. Seeing how they do things in the studio made me more wanting to build my own studio. In the ITCD, we were taught how to operate the CCTV feed and how to see the DTR’s of the employees.
For
day one, it was really enjoyable for it was new experience for me. It was like
seeing one of our multiple futures or maybe an alternate reality. I will make
sure to take advantage on the remaining days of the immersion period.
To learn,
to grow, to experience, to have fun, to immersion and beyond.
